What to think through first
Capacity and vehicle mix
A 10,000 lb two-post covers most passenger and light-truck work. Fleet, diesel, and dually work usually pushes you to 12,000 lb or higher with taller columns.
Ceiling height and column clearance
Overhead two-post lifts generally need 12 ft of clear ceiling. Where headroom is short, a floorplate or four-post configuration is often the better answer.
Concrete and anchoring
Most two-post lifts require a minimum of 4 in. of 3,000 PSI concrete in good condition. We check the slab before we quote so there are no surprises on install day.
